Kawaguchiko - Mt Fuji and the Shibazakura Festival (and another Japanese wedding)

We arrived in Kawaguchiko on a bleak rainy day that did not hold much promise.  So we had a lovey onsen (hot spring water bath) overlooking a garden filled with azaleas and rhododendrons.  The next day was a completely different story.  The sun was shining and Mt Fuji was on full display.

Shibazakura Festival
The ground is covered in a pattern of shibazakura (pink moss) that enlivens the whole area with vibrancy. When they are at the peak of the season the shibazakura bloom are all so stunning, we arrived as the blooms were less than half of their vibrancy but still very lovely.
