SAPA - Mount Fansipan - Queen of the Mountains

Leaving the frenetic energy of Hanoi behind and eager to revisit the mystical land of Sapa we board the overnight Fansipan Express.  

Our destination Sapa luring us with the promise of the cooler conditions, fresh mountain air and lush scenery

Our train arrives at Lao Cai and with a 30km road trip of spectacular scenery, bamboo forests, terraced hillsides of rice, fields of corn and the cool breeze of Sapa.  

Sapa acts as the gateway to the many Ethnic minority villages and mysterious people of these tribes. 

The steps of Sapa are spilling over with the minority ladies 

The billowing indigos and blacks of the Hmong tribes and the red head dress of the red dzao.

After reacquainting ourselves with Fansipan Street a lovely refreshing trek to Cat Cat village in the misty rain and a motor bike ride back up the mountain
