Inle Lake is the second largest lake in Burma, it is a freshwater lake surrounded by lush green mountains running its length at both sides.
The crystal clear reflective waters
The lake is occasionally punctuated by a solitary boat, wooden stilted houses or rows of floating gardens.
Local people still paddle their wooden boats from place to place the only means of navigating the waterways
The solitary lives of the Inthar fishermen , the silence punctuated only by the ripples of the water as row their boats with their distinctive one-legged technique.
